Following recent practice by a religious order in Ireland of publicly naming a deceased respondent to encourage victims to come forward, the National Board is facilitating a training event  to discuss the implications and processes  involved.

This is a three hour event which aims to cover the following:

  • Discussing the issue of communicating publicly about a respondent in the Church
  • Discussing the process of how this can be done
  • Discussing the support needs of Church personnel, before, during and after the process.

This training event is aimed at anyone involved in case management of child safeguarding issues or those involved in providing care and support to the respondent or complainant.
