The National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland (NBSCCCI) is pleased to announce the publication of GAP Paper 14: Data Protection and Child Safeguarding.

This new paper provides timely guidance to support dioceses, parishes, religious congregations, and Church bodies in strengthening their data protection policies and practices. As noted in the introduction, “data protection and safeguarding within the Church intersect in complex ways, requiring careful alignment between data protection principles and safeguarding obligations” .
