Armagh Ecclesiastical Provincial Area Meeting

THIS MEETING IS ONLY FOR CHURCH LEADERS AND SAFEGUARDING PERSONNEL.  IT IS NOT A PUBLIC MEETING.

His Grace, Archbishop Eamon Martin is hosting an Ecclesiastical Provincial Area Meeting on the 15th of October 2026 assisted by the NBSCCCI, Towards Healing and Towards Peace.

The purpose of the event is for staff from the National Office to meet with bishops, provincials, superiors and safeguarding personnel from dioceses, religious congregations and orders across the Armagh ecclesiastical province area, to discuss common issues of interest, and to consider how further improvements in safeguarding practice can be made.

A letter of invitation has been sent to Church authorities (both diocesan and male and female religious) in the ecclesiastical area.

Timings for the Day

10am Tea/Coffee & Registration

10.30am - 12.30pm Meeting

12.30pm- Lunch

 

Agenda items will include:

  • Update of the work of the NBSCCCI
  • NBSCCCI Training Programme for 2027
  • Independent Review of Safeguarding Practice in Church Bodies 2027
  • Police Clearance Certificate
  • Update from Towards Peace
  • Update from Towards Healing
