The NBSCCCI will host its National Safeguarding Conference on the 3rd, 4th and 5th September 2025 in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone, County Westmeath.

The theme of this conference is 'Towards a Restorative and Transitional Justice process of Engagement with Victims and Survivors of Abuse in the Catholic Church in Ireland’.

The registration desk opens at 1:00pm on Wednesday the 3rd September 2025.

The Conference Programme will be shared when finalised and will include inputs from academic researchers in this area, Church Bodies who have implemented processes of engagement, and some of the victims and survivors who have participated in them.  This rich montage of knowledge and expertise will inform the future developments in this important area of our work.

Attendance at this Conference is open to Constituent Members of the NBSCCCI and their representatives, together with invited guests.
